The Hillsboro Beach Police Department operates a beach vehicle which allows officers to patrol and respond to areas not accessible by cars. The beach vehicle is equipped with fully functional lights and sirens.
Since inception, the beach vehicle has made numerous arrests, seized contraband, found missing persons (including juveniles), and responded to hundreds of calls for service. Officers serving on the beach vehicle have specialized training prior to operating.
